Hi! My name is Michael. You probably got that from the title up there. Or the URL.

I’ve been doing music all of my life. I finished my degree in music through CPIT Jazz School in 2005, and since then I have kept fairly busy composing and arranging music for film, TV (programs and jingles), concerts, albums and radio.

Perhaps my favourite ensembles to write for are orchestra and big band but I find myself composing and arranging for many different ensembles ranging from soloists to high school jazz bands to choirs to school guitar ensembles to the NZSO.

I work with a lot of artists, especially singers, producing songs and albums. I run a recording studio (music and video) called Orange Studio and a touring theatre troupe called New Zealand Playhouse.

I’m here to try and contribute something to the music and arts community, and have a bit of fun along the way.
